Things Homeowners Should Be Doing Annually
We at SeaCliff Team know how time flies. That means the annual tasks tend to sneak up on us or even get overlooked. The tasks on the following list are things that should be done by every homeowner every year, but often go overlooked, so take note, bookmark this page, and we’ll see you next year! (And the year after that, and the year after that, and the year after that…)
Clean the Gutters
Once the skies have cleared, it’s easy to forget about all of the leaves and dirt that have accumulated during the fall and winter season. Make sure to get up there and clear that out to avoid problems in the future!
Clean the Dryer Vents
Sure, you clean the lint trap with every load of laundry, but did you know that lint builds up in the pipe and vents, too? There are many benefits to doing this frequently, including more efficient dry-time, but none more important than reducing the fire hazard.
Clean that Chimney!
You may be picturing Dick Van Dyke dancing on the roof tops a la Mary Poppins, but it’s not that complicated, and you don’t want to forget. Trust us.
Clean the Dishwasher Food Trap
What? The food stays in there? Absolutely. To get the best clean for your dishes, ensure this is cleaned.
There are plenty more things you should add to your list, but this is a good place to start.
Do you have an annual home-care checklist? What’s the number one thing you’d recommend?
