Romance is in the air in Huntington Beach. Could it be the almost year round summer-like weather? Huntington Beach has become a romance destination for couples looking to escape or even share their vows. Here are 5 romantic things you can do with your sweetheart, whether you are a local, or have planned your romantic getaway for months in advance.
Gondola Ride in the Harbor
Be serenaded by a gondolier as they row through the harbor under the stars or the glow of a sunset. Get cozy with a blanket and bring some champagne, but relax and leave everything else to them. Feel like taking the romance up a notch? Flowers and chocolate-dipped strawberries can be added on. At only $80 for 40 minutes or $170 for 2 hours, you can really make an evening out of it.
Get Your Toes Sandy
Long walks on the beach are a stereotype for a reason. Is there anything more calming, peaceful and romantic than walking for a few miles on the beach? Let the waves wash over your feet as you hold your sweetie’s hand. With a 10-mile stretch of beach, you can spend the whole day, from sunrise, to glowing sunset, to star filled twilight enjoying your honey. After your long walk relax with a bonfire at one of the dozens of fire pits on the beach. Because what’s more refreshing after a long walk than some s’mores?
Dinner Overlooking the Beach
A great date night usually involves a tasty dinner in a beautiful restaurant. Thankfully Huntington Beach has plenty to choose from. Be decadent with filet or crab legs at BLK restaurant. With their second floor location it is the perfect vantage point for the pier at sunset. Afterwards walk down the block and enjoy the new Treehouse Bar, upstairs at the Paséa Hotel. Overlooking historic PCH it is the perfect place to watch the nightlife below and cuddle on a rooftop sofa while sipping some bubbly.
Picnic In The Park
While Huntington Beach is Called Surf City for a reason, we are also home to some serious green space. Huntington Beach Central Park is 350 acres, of trees, wetlands, birds and trails. Here a picnic can be a gingham tablecloth on the grass or brunch at one of the park’s outdoor cafes. With the park also being home to a fantastic library, get comfy with a good book and make it a day.
